About data processing

Below you can read:

  • How we process your data.
  • Where we store them (or have them stored).
  • What security techniques we use and who has access to the data.

Email and mailing lists

Klaviyo

Our website uses Klaviyo, a third party that supports the receiving and sending of emails for the online store. Among other things, email marketing, confirmation emails, "no-reply" emails, web forms, and surveys that you receive from our website are sent via Klaviyo's servers. Klaviyo will also never use your name and email address for its own purposes. If you do not agree to us sending you personal or business emails, you can click on the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of each email sent. You will then no longer receive new emails from AmaraPure or Klaviyo. Please note: this may reduce the functionality of our website for you. Klaviyo uses cookies and other internet technologies to track whether the emails sent are read or opened, among other things. Klaviyo reserves the right to use this data to improve its services. Your explicit consent is also required to share this data with third parties.

Outlook

We use Microsoft Outlook's mailing services for our business and private email traffic. This party has taken sufficient technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Outlook never has access to our mailbox, and we treat all our email traffic as confidential.

Payment processors:

We use the Mollie payment platform (payment processors) to process payments in our online store. Mollie processes your name, address, and place of residence details, as well as your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has also taken appropriate measures to adequately protect your personal data. Mollie is not authorized to share your data with third parties and does not store your data for longer than is permitted by law.

General purpose of data processing

We use your data solely to improve our services and do not use your data for marketing purposes. Your data will not be shared with third parties. Unless you give your explicit consent, we do not have the right to share personal data with third parties or to contact you after the service has been provided.

We do use this information to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. Third parties are legally obliged to maintain confidentiality regarding the data in question. Your data will never be stored for longer than 90 days unless you give your consent for an exception.

Automatically collected data

Some data is collected automatically by our system. This includes, for example, your web browser, operating system, or IP address. According to Dutch law, this data is not considered personal data. We also use this information explicitly to improve our services.

Cooperation with tax and criminal investigations

AmaraPure may be required to share data with third parties during a tax or criminal investigation. In these situations, we are forced to share your data, but we will always oppose this unless there is no other option.

Retention periods

We retain your data for as long as you are our customer. This means that we retain your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also consider this a request to be forgotten, and based on legal and administrative obligations, we are required to retain invoices containing your personal data. We will therefore retain this data for as long as the applicable term runs. However, AmaraPure employees will no longer have the right to view your data.

Your rights

Thanks to Dutch and European privacy legislation, you have certain property rights over your personal data. Below, we will clarify which rights these are and how they are applied. We will also explain how you can take action if you suspect that your rights are being violated. To prevent misuse of data, we will only send copies and duplicates of your data to you, via our already known email address. If you wish to receive the data at a different email address or, for example, by post, we will always ask you to identify yourself. We keep records of completed requests. If you submit a request to be forgotten, we only record anonymized data. You will receive all copies and copies of data in the readable data format that we use within our systems.

You have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority at any time if you suspect that we are using your personal data incorrectly.

Right of access

You have the right to access the personal data we have received from you and use for administrative purposes at any time. You can submit a request to us via support@AmaraPure.com, after which you will receive a response within 30 days. If your request is approved, we will send you an email with a copy of all personal data that we or our partners have used during the provision of services. We will also state the category under which we have stored this data.

Right of rectification

You always have the right to have the data that we process (or have processed) relating to you amended. You can submit a request to us for this via support@AmaraPure.com, after which you will receive a response within 30 days. If the request is approved, we will ask you to provide your updated details and will send an email to the address we have on file with the new details.

Right to restriction of processing

You always have the right to restrict the data that we process (or have processed) that relates to you or can be traced back to you. You can submit a request to us via support@AmaraPure.com, after which you will receive a response within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation to the email address we have on file that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.

Right to portability

You always have the right to have the data that we process (or have processed) and that relate to your person or can be traced back to you, processed by another party. You can submit a request to us for this via support@AmaraPure.com, after which you will receive a response within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies or copies of all data about you that we have processed or that has been processed on our behalf by other processors or third parties to the email address known to us.

Unfortunately, in most cases we are unable to continue providing services after a transfer because the secure linking of data files can no longer be guaranteed.

Right to object and other rights

In certain cases, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of AmaraPure. If you object, we will immediately cease processing your data pending the resolution of your objection. If your objection is justified, we will provide you with copies and/or copies of data that we process (or have processed) and then permanently cease processing. You also have the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in such a way that this right applies. If you believe that this is the case, please contact us.

Google Analytics

Cookies from the American company Google are placed via our website as part of the "Analytics" service. We use this service to track and receive reports on how visitors use the website so that we can continue to improve our web address and our services. This processor is obliged under applicable laws and regulations to provide access to this data if you submit a request to do so.

Google Ads

We collect information about your browsing behavior and search terms and share this data with Google. Google can interpret this information in conjunction with other data sets and thus track your movements on the internet. Google uses this information to offer targeted advertisements (AdWords) and other Google services and products.

Third-party cookies

In the event that third-party software solutions use cookies, this is stated in this privacy statement.

Changes to the privacy policy

We reserve the right to change our privacy policy at any time. If a change is made that affects how we handle your personal data, we will inform you of this by email. If you do not agree with this change, please contact our privacy officer.
